Gallery for A Bright Room Called Day (May 2004)

John Lefever as Gottfried Swetts (the Devil) pays an unusual visit to Lorna de Zengotita as Agnes Eggling. (l-r) Lorna de Zengotita as Agnes Eggling receives an unexpected, supernatural visit from Die Alte (The Old One) played by Trish Hawkins. Lisa Lynds as Paulinka Erdnuss describes her 'meeting with the Devil.' John Lefever as Gottfried Swetts (the Devil) appears in a cloud of smoke to visit Agnes Eggling. Here we see the 1930s side of the stage from the hallway, Agnes Eggling's apartment is lavish with decor, yet her walls are rubble. John Lefever as Gottfried Swetts (the Devil) is called forth to make an appearance in Berlin, 1932 . Lorna de Zengotita thanks her love, Micahel Juzwak as Vealtnic Husz, for the lavish gift of a rare lemon. Set designed by Andres San Millan shows 2 apartments, existing across from one another at different time periods & locations. Here we see Zillah Katz's studio apartment in 1980 USA, the hallway which separates her from Agnes Eggling's 1930s Berlin apartment. (l-r) Rachel Posner as Rosa Malek and Ronan Dunphy as Emil Traum bring serious news to Lorna de Zengotita as Agnes Eggling. Marguerite San Millan as Zillah sings her anger.
